The Cybersecurity breakfast in partnership with Ma Banque BNP Paribas was a blast. We had the pleasure of hearing an eye-opening presentation by Didier Gras, their Chief Information Security Officer, over the new challenges of Cybersecurity and how it impacts companies in their IT Risk Management. On the same occasion, congratulations to the two startups Cryptosense & LogMote for their great pitch!

As part of our partnership with Aéroports De Paris (Groupe ADP), we were showcased in the Business Space of Roissy Charles de Gaulles Airport for one day. It was a great opportunity and allowed us to reach so many international entrepreneurs. We were really proud to officialize our partnership with Groupe ADP this way. In 2013, Paris Aéroport welcomed 90.3 million passengers. Groupe ADP is the Europe second group for Airport Services in Europe. It aims at becoming the leading airport group in Europe in terms of size, attractiveness and results.
For the second year in a row, the french media BFM Business held a ceremony to reward France best exporting companies such as Devialet, St James, Manitou or Vinci. Out of the 3 millions entreprises in France, only 130 000 are exporting. Beeleev is proud to be partner of the Grand Prix de l'Export and celebrate those adventurers.
The 9th of March, Plug and Play Lafayette received Beeleev and its members for a conference from three CEOs, sharing their experience with expanding their business in Germany. Olivier Fleckinger, founder at Alvarum, Thomas Habib and Guillaume Paoli (Aramisauto) exchanged with Alexandra Rohmert, a cross-border lawyer and Eve Chegaray animated the discussion. Whether they had met success or not, the guest speakers had a lot to share to Beeleev members. We would like to thank all of our speakers for giving us their time, and Plug and Play Lafayette for receiving us.
Beeleev organized a Learning Expedition in London in partnership with Reseau Entreprendre Paris. 10 entrepreneurs from France contemplating doing business in the UK were given the opportunity to meet and discuss with successfull londonian decision-makers. From famous start-upers (TVTY, Appear[here], Peak, Theodo, Devialet...) to local support (Time Inc., eOffice) along with investors (ACCEL Partners, Felix Capital) and the participants came back with comprehension and insights on the local business ecosystem. As a direct result, we were really happy to learn that iHorse are starting their londonian adventure following this fruitful trip !
Frédéric Mazzella, (BlaBlaCar), David Amsellem (John Paul) and François Bergerault (L'Atelier des Chefs) helped 3 start-ups (Safety Line, Cheerz and Vannina Vesperini) through relevant advice to grow internationally. On July, 21st, Beeleev and BNP Paribas were in WAI Paribas for an exciting conference about fundraising. Christophe Blondeau (associate lawyer from CMS Bureau Francis Lefevbre), Philippe Gosset (tax lawyer from CMS Bureau Lefevbre) and Xavier Chopard (Director of the innovation center in BNP Paribas) explained everything about fundraising. Then, we were offered a unique testimony about the fundraising of Emmanuel Arnaud (the founder of Guest to Guest) with whom we were able to discuss and ask all our questions on the topic. On the 24th, at the Hacking de l'Hotel de ville, Beeleev gave a speech and met some of the 2,000 start-ups to which the Mayor of Paris handed the keys of City Hall, asking them to build partnerships beyond France’s borders (Africa, Asia, Europe & USA). We met new Beeleevers & found promising partners: always for you, to give you the best opportunities.
On the 21st, we were at the BFM Business "Export Grand Prix" Awards as partner, to reward France’s most successful exporters. We are proud of the Beeleever who was amongst the winners and got First-time exporter award!

Thursday, 18th February, Beeleev organized a breakfast, hosted by our partner CMS Francis Lefevbre. Agnes de L'Estoile-Campi, associate lawyer, international tax expert specialized in French and Brazilian taxation, made a very interesting presentation about what we should know if they we want to conquer the Brazilian market.

Beeleev was glad to welcome more than 60 French entrepreneurs for a casual networking event on the famous rooftop Le Perchoir in Paris on July 22nd. The sun was shining and the atmosphere was delightful! The entrepreneurs got together around drinks and French snacks to celebrate the end of a year full of successes!
On June 18th, Beeleev was invited to the "Salon Planète PME” organised by the CGPME. This event takes place each year to reward the innovative companies that create both growth and jobs. Beeleev was part of these successful companies of 2015 and intends to keep it that way! In addition to earning this award, Beeleev had the opportunity to meet many interesting entrepreneurs who were attracted by the Beeleev community. The French President, François Hollande, and the Minister of the Economy, Emmanuel Macron, were present to make a speech about entrepreneurship and many important companies were there as well to present their newest products or services. In short, Beeleev gained visibility and partners during this event !

On the 13th and 14th of May, Beeleev took part in the first edition of Classe Export in Montreal. This fair gathered all the experts and specialists on exportation. During two days, some 1,000 qualified visitors attended. From the 13th to 14th of May, they discovered about 50 exhibitors, sat in 30 high-level conferences and benefited from personalized meetings. Among those exhibitors, here we were. It was also Beeleev's first participation as an exhibitors in a fair. What a better way to start than in Canada ! For a first edition, it was a real success. Thanks again to the organization team, to all the visitors who came to see us, to all the companies we discovered, to the people we got to talk to and finally to all the new Beeleevers who joined us!

After getting a feel of the business ecosystem in New York and London, this time, we flew 6 entrepreneurs with us to discover Berlin's ! We had 2 days full of meetings with CEOs, German and French Entrepreneurs and Investors. Besides the fact that they had a great time, the Entrepreneurs got all the answers they needed thanks to the advices and the experiences of our speakers whether they were corporates or startups. A few weeks before our Learning Expedition to Berlin, Beeleevers intended an event to get answers to their questions on getting established in Germany. Thanks to our partner CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre represented by Alain HERMANN (Social), Alexandra ROHMERT (Corporate) and Julian SCHRUOFFENEGER (Tax) and Victanis Advisory Services represented by Yves ROMMEL (Consulting and Investment, Munich). Whether it was legal matters or more cultural ones, the participants were happy to get the information they needed on the German market.
On the 19th of February, Beeleev gathered 20 entrepreneurs to listen to Nicolas Pesquidous, financial analyst for Lendopolis. It is the third website launched by the Kiss Kiss Bank Bank team. Thanks to the new French laws and the opening of the lending market, Lendopolis started in November 2014 and already counts 3500 lenders. Their financing solution allows companies to gather up to 150 000€ and opens up new opportunities for their development.
On the 21st of January, we invited 12 Beeleevers to breakfast to give them advices on fundraising for their company. Our Partner CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre along with Jean-Yves Hepp (Founder and President of Unowhy & QOOQ ) and Matthieu Lattes (Partner at Ader Finance) talked the entrepreneurs through the different steps of raising funds successfully.
On the 17th of December, we hosted a Networking Cocktail to gather the Beeleevers and to celebrate the end of a great year for us. About 100 entrepreneurs came to listen to Frédéric Mazzella (CEO of Blablacar), Ronan Pelloux (CEO of Creads) and Ari Assuied (Co-founder of Lekiosk), as Eve Chegaray (journalist from BFM Business) interviewed them. Then, the Beeleevers discussed experiences and connections over petits fours and beers. A special thanks to Fany Péchiodat (CEO of MyLittleParis) for welcoming us.
After a successful trip to New York last February, this time Beeleev took 16 entrepreneurs to London. The two-day trip consisted of more than 10 exciting meetings with CEOs, incubators ,entrepreneurs and investors. The French entrepreneurs learned what it really is like to do business in the UK – the challenges and opportunities of expanding a French business into Great Britain. The speakers discussed different themes from fundraising and the evolution of retailing with digital impact to the insights of being a French entrepreneur in the UK.
On the 29th of October, 2014, Beeleev gathered 30 entrepreneurs, eager to expand their businesses into the UK, at the British Embassy in Paris. Thanks to Michael Ward and Nadège Anturo from UK Trade & Investment, they learned more about the UK’s attractiveness as well as the government’s support for businesses. Geoff Graham from Fitzgerald and Law introduced them to Britain’s fiscality and all its advantages, while Emmanuelle Ries from Miller Rosenfalk talk to them about legal matters. It was a great occasion for the entrepreneurs to ask questions they had in mind and to share their experiences and ideas.
On the 9th of July, we co-hosted a networking cocktail event with Trois Temps at their offices in the heart of Paris. Forty Beeleevers came from all over the city to attend one of the many networking events we host throughout the year. Over beer, wine and petits fours, Beeleevers were able to mingle, discuss potential connections and interact with our certified experts. The spotlight belonged to Guerric de Kerckhove from PwC’s Accelerator, Christophe Blondeau from CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre, and Marie George and Armelle Weissman from Trois Temps.
In June, the Beeleev community welcomed John Barclay from Primasia, an expert in corporate support and assistance to businesses trying to implant themselves on the Chinese and Singaporean market. Twelve Beeleevers expressed their interest in implantation onto the market, and Mr. Barclay described the fiscal, legal and employment aspects of getting established in Hong Kong, the new Silicon Valley.
Our event in April focused on establishing a business in Germany. Corporate lawyer Alexandra Rohmert, employment lawyer Alain Herrmann and tax specialist Francois Hellio illustrated the tax, legal and employment aspects of getting established in Germany.
Beeleev invited twelve entrepreneurs to spend five days and five nights in America’s business mecca, New York City. The entrepreneurs were introduced to more than 20 lawyers, incubators, business development executives and CEOs in the span of five days. The program included workshops of all kinds, ranging from specific issues – such as intellectual property in the United States vs. Europe and the impact of social media in the retail industry – to broader themes, including fundraising in the U.S. and digital marketing expertise. Many exchanges with successful CEOs were part of the program as well.

With French Morning, the leading French newspaper in New York City, we hosted an exclusive networking cocktail in New York’s first Cave À Manger restaurant, the O Cabonon. Among the exclusive invitees was Frederic Montagnon, a French entrepreneur who implanted himself on the American market in New York in 2013 to develop his company OverBlog. Following the presentation of the French success story, we asked each of our twelve Beeleevers to pitch their project in the U.S. for two minutes. One hundred entrepreneurs attended the event. The attending experts gave the presentations on the spot, exchanged business cards and developed fruitful relationships and potential business projects.
Our partners CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre and Marie Landel took us on a journey illustrating all the aspects of setting up a business in the United States. Michel Collet and Ambre Nerinck-Seltzer illustrated the tax, legal and employment aspects involving establishment in the U.S. Marie Landel illustrated the way to establish and manage your company anywhere in America.
Expert Romain Breysse, head of the 4G/LTE product at Orange, joined us in November to discuss the advantages of 4G and the large number of services of which users and businesses alike can take advantage. Beeleevers from all over Paris gathered together to enjoy the benefit of our special expert event!
