With my engineering background, namely working as a Systems Engineer for National Instruments, I had a perfect chance to grow personally and traveled a lot visiting various customers in different parts of the world. I learned all the ropes of business making and was thrilled with the vision to make the machines smarter and connected. And that was the way Robust And Flexible Advanced (RAFA) Solutions was born in my mind.
In the beginning of 2014, thanks to our in-depth knowledge in embedded software development and hardware design, we embarked on building trainer kits and educational systems for our customers. Those are aimed at teaching the basics of major industrial protocols and automation techniques, which are indispensible for the industry. By launching it, we encompassed the full range from learning to growing, thus helping our customers to Learn, Create and to Grow with the products and services we provide.
One of the biggest challenges when starting a business in the field of industrial automation is having a reliable and supportive technology partner, and we found it. At this stage, we also considered the huge intellectual capacity of Armenia. Being the “Silicon Valley” for the former Soviet Union, it has kept and always nurtured the potential of the workforce and its engineering capacity. The Armenian National Engineering laboratories also helped us a lot in finding the best people in the territory. Moreover, it is important to underline the knowledge and high level of proficiency in Russian, English and even Arabic languages within our team, and in general, the available resources in Armenia, which played its own role in the overall success of our company.
We believe the key to success in any advanced project development is the full understanding of the project nature, as well as helping the customer to define the scope of the project. Beyond the helpful critical design reviews and frequent customer visits, we always follow our internal regulations to engineer the project plan created in the previous stage.
